Northland Career Center

Programs at Northland Career Center are two year programs, unless otherwise noted. Junior, senior, and adult students can participate in most programs. Northland Career Center follows the Platte County R-3 school year schedule, with morning sessions 7:40 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and afternoon sessions 11:35 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Adult students can attend both sessions and complete in one year, in most programs. Financial aid is available for qualified adult students and includes Pell Grants, student loans, agency funding and A+ Scholarships. Secondary students' tuition is paid by their sending high school.

Breaking Traditions
Breaking Traditions promotes and supports career development with emphasis on non traditional careers.

Goals:
  • Provide professional development for educators
  • Provide awareness, recruitment and retention for area career technical centers
  • Collaborate with community partners and support educators and students
  • Support Perkins IV indicators relative to nontraditional participation and completion
