Teaching Professions

Teachers help shape our nation’s future by educating our youth. Teaching Professions students work in established local preschool classrooms, elementary, and  middle schools  to help them gain the knowledge and skills necessary to be successful in their chosen field. This program provides students with the coursework and internship hours to earn a Child Development Associate Credential or Youth Development Associate Certificate.

To complete all the required skills, high school students attend two and a half hours per day for two school years. Adults may complete in one year by attending five hours per day.
